Rector preaches at Cathedral's Feast of Title in Dublin

The Rector of St Botolph's was accorded the singular distinction of an invitation to preach on Trinity Sunday, 15 June, at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin. The Cathedral's ancient dedication is to the 'Most Holy and Undivided Trinity' so Trinity Sunday is the Cathedral's Feast of Title.

The ceremony was held in a Cathedral completely transformed by the presence of vast numbers of flowers, shrubs and trees, the result of the impressive and popular Dublin City Garden Festival.

Later in the afternoon, the Rector attended Choral Evensong in Dublin's other Cathedral, St Patrick's, where for some years he was Cathedral Succentor. Appropriately enough, a garden party followed.

The pictures below show the Rector with the Dean of Christ Church, The Very Revd Dermot Dunne, and the Cathedral nave transformed by flowers.
