Parish & Ward Church of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate

Berlin Visitors

Following visits to St Botolph's by Berlin clergy in 2015, we were delighted to host on Friday 30 September another party of 15 clergy from that city who were on a weekend visit to London as part of the London-Berlin-Brandenburg partnership.

The photographs show the guests enjoying lunch in the Hall, and the leader of the Berlin group, Superintendent Ulrike Trotwein, flanked by the our Priest-in-Charge, The Ven Luke Miller, Archdeacon of London, and Prebendary Brian Leathard, Rector of Chelsea, who acts as liaison officer for the London end of the partnership.

Fr Luke tells us that among visits to a variety of parishes across the Diocese, during which they wrestled with the theme of Continuity and Change in the Church’s mission, the group spent some time in our linked parish of St Francis at the Engine Room, Tottenham Hale, and also learned about the work of Bethnal Green clergy with anti-racism matters and with the Islamic community.
