Parish & Ward Church of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate

Armistice Day ceremonies, Friday 11 November

If you work locally or are passing by the church at 'the eleventh hour', you are invited to join us for a short service of remembrance, including the two minutes' silence, at 11.00am at the First World War Cross in the Churchyard (the first memorial to the War to be erected in London). This will be conducted by Fr Mark Speeks, Padre of the Honorable Artillery Company, whose Regimental Chapel is at St Botolph's.

At the same time Fr Andrew Williams, our Priest Missioner, will be taking part with the Railway Chaplains in the Remembrance prayers (from 10.50am) at the War Memorial in Liverpool Street Station.

Following these ceremonies, both clergymen will take part in the Honourable Artillery Company's annual Service of Remembrance in St Botolph's at 12.00 noon. All are welcome to attend the service, at which the music will be led by St Botolph's Choir under the direction of Iestyn Evans.
