Remembrance at St Botolph's

On Friday 10 November members of the Honourable Artillery Company packed St Botolph's for their annual Service of Remembrance. Wreaths were laid both in the Regimental Chapel and at the WW1 Cross in the Churchyard, and the music was led by St Botolph's Choir under the direction of Iestyn Evans. The first photo shows our Priest Missioner, Fr Andrew Williams, welcoming the congregation and handing over to the Regimental Padre, Fr Mark Speeks who conducted the service; and the second shows Fr Andrew giving the Blessing at the end of the service before the clergy and choir processed out following the banner of the HAC Old Comrades' Association.
On Armistice Day, Saturday 11 November, a member of the St Botolph's clergy team assisted at the Remembrance Prayers at Liverpool Street Station, and one of our musicians played the hymns. This year Armistice Day coincided with Lord Mayor's Show Day so the City was busy with crowds coming to see the Show.
